Our seasonal cottage is situated in a lovely, wooded area near the quiet Schoodic section of Acadia National Park, in the beautiful State of Maine.

Mother Nature Slows Us Down

We've been so fortunate with the weather until now.  Seems Mother Nature has decided to add some wind and brutal temperatures to our February, thus making things a wee bit difficult for the fellas, to say the least!  Sigh.

However, despite the cold air and frozen fingers, the fellas trudged on and got the main roof shingled and lots of trim work done in addition to burning downed wood and cleaning up the area in anticipation of spring landscaping!

The rest of the windows went in so at least there won't be snow blowing into the interior.  They finished the loft area roof, as well and now, we are just waiting for the installation of electrical wiring, plumbing and a propane furnace and water heater.  We're hoping this may happen next week, but it seems that everyone is up to their eyeballs in work, which is a good thing!

In the meantime, Sluggo and I have also been busy in the office, taking care of and managing the mountains of paperwork! 😄

Gratefully, I have a nice little bit of heat to keep my lap warm 😸

So, Dear Friends, we shall just wait, keeping our fingers crossed, to see what next week brings!

Stay tuned! 😀
