We're On Line!!

 Finally, after all the waiting, working and more waiting, we are up and running!!  I pushed the "start" button on VRBO (Vacation Rental By Owner) last Sunday and had our first reservation on Monday.  Wow! I wasn't expecting that but, as of today, we have three confirmed reservations beginning in June. 

We blocked through March and April due to a few things still needing to be finished outside and of course, Mother Nature has been throwing lots of snow at us!  Hopefully, the weather will cooperate with Bob and Jeff and let them get the screened in deck and front porch finished.  And then, of course, there is landscaping and planting to be done, as well, which will be my part of the outdoor work.  Gratefully, as of the first of April, I will be retiring from my job at Acadia Provisions as I will be up to my eyeballs in my new job as Property Manager of our business!  💓

I'm still working on staging some of the interior, taking pictures and working out some of the details for the reservations, but here we are on the VRBO website.  Click below for all the pictures and the whole site info.

The Countdown Begins!!

Bob and Jeff  have been very busy marking things off the "Punch List".  There are still a few things to get done, but some of it, like the screened in deck, front porch and landscaping will have to wait until warmer spring weather.

In the meantime, I am having a wonderful time dealing with getting things cleaned and staged so I can take the necessary photographs to get the VRBO schedule ready to post.  Bob and I will be hanging lots of pictures in the various rooms and adding other nice touches.  I took a few pics yesterday, but the actual "photo shoot" won't be done until I've got the place thoroughly cleaned and staged.  In the meantime, here are a few in progress pics!

The electric fireplace lends a nice warmth to the great room.  The paintings and TV will be up soon.

I just put the comforter on the master bed for the picture.  Still lots of work to go before the real pics show up!

The Queen bedroom and bath weren't tidy enough for me to take any decent pictures, but they are looking good and almost ready for show time!

In the meantime, I'm sitting here in my office, looking out the window at the freezing sleet coming down and wishing I could be at the Cottage making more progress.  Ah well, such is life and we have to just appreciate the days we have.  At least I had the time to write today's blog!  LOL!!😍
