We're Off and Running!

The first guests arrive today!  Bob, Jeff and I spent all Thursday morning getting everything ready in and around the house and Friday was my day to make sure everything was clean, clean, clean!  The light on Friday was not really good enough to take any final pictures, but here are a few from Thursday.

The trees are starting to turn that beautiful light green spring color and the hydro seeding is coming along nicely, as well.

My good friend and Yoga Instructor, Karen shared some of her beautiful Ivy plant with me but I had to put them in water until they grew their roots enough to plant them in pots.  In the meantime, I tried to think of something different to place them in.  Hmmm, over the years, Bob and I had enjoyed different bottles of wine together and I always saved the corks.  So, I came up with this idea for using the large, glass, drink dispenser I had hung on to despite the crack in it, making it unusable for liquids.  I put a tall, thin Mason jar in the middle and surrounded it with the memorable corks.  After filling the mason jar with water, I placed the ivy in and VOILA!  I had a beautiful plant for the screened in deck!

The deck is looking much better since we put in the hanging spider plants.  I'll try to post better pictures next time!

In the meantime, we are already booked for most of the season and it will now give me time to attend to my garden which is in dire need of weeding and fertilizing!

Stay tuned!  😍🙋
