Updating Cottage Photos

As the second year of our busy tourist season is slowing down, I decided to post a few of the latest photos of our Cottage.  We haven't made many changes, but did add a few things to add to the ambiance.

We've added a little more greenery to the screened in deck overlooking the back yard and my "rock garden".

We also added a nice Bentwood rocker to the living room, giving more seating.

The garden area around the cozy firepit is beginning to look a lot better!

October is almost here and the toasty warmth of the electric fireplace will go nicely with a cup of hot chocolate and a romantic movie.  The smart TV and additional ROKU will give you lots of watching variety!

But, if you just want a nice, quiet place to read a book by your favorite author, the loft gives you lots of peace to read magazines, play Scrabble or card games and puzzles.  It's also a great place to start that novel you've been thinking about writing!  "It was a cold, stormy night....."  😉

Or, it's a quiet place for a nap!

With the full, amenity stocked open kitchen, it's easy to enjoy chatting with your friends while you cook them a wonderful meal!  Or, if they cook for you!😋

The master bedroom features a king size bed and an en suite bathroom with shower.

The guest room has a queen bed and a beautiful view of the back yard woodland.  The full bathroom is in the hallway.

Oh, and lest I forget, there is a laundry area across the hall!

So, as you can see it's a very nice, cozy place to stay while enjoying our beautiful State of Maine!

We are open all year long and have special discounts for 30 day stays or longer in the winter season!

The Change of Season Slowly Begins

As I stared out of the office window last week, I was beginning to see a wee bit of color on the birch trees here in Hancock County.  I guess Mother Nature has changed her mind and instead of foggy, drizzly weather, she was now in hot and humid fun!  The forecast for the week was for sunny blue skies and great beach weather.

I took advantage of some of that beauty and had an early morning 5K walk in the Acadia National Park's Schoodic Loop Road here in Winter Harbor.  And, it's only a two minute drive from the Cottage!

Here's a good website with lots of information about our beautiful Schoodic section of Acadia National Park:

https://www.nps.gov/acad/planyourvisit/schoodic.htm

Another great place for a wonderful walk is in the village of Sorrento.  I did another peaceful 5K early this morning and enjoyed every minute of watching boats and the beautiful shoreline with a view of Bar Harbor and Cadillac Mountain on Mount Desert.

Other things keeping me very busy are the upkeep of the flower beds at the cottage.  I still have much to do in what I refer to as "The Rock Garden" but, it's going to be a nice view from the screened in deck.

We still have a few weeks available for the coming leaf peeping season, which we hope will be a beauty this year!  So, we invite you to come stay with us!  Booking is easy.  Check us out on VRBO # 1713662

We'll leave the lights on for ya!  😄

Cheers!
