Our seasonal cottage is situated in a lovely, wooded area near the quiet Schoodic section of Acadia National Park, in the beautiful State of Maine.

Well, it's been a few month's wait, but we seem to finally have things on the move again.  After having gotten the septic in, the situation with the Covid virus got a wee bit heated in Maine and we had to put things on hold until we could decide what to do.

Gratefully, we have finally gotten our building permit and it looks like the foundation will be installed shortly.  In the meantime, summer is almost over and the leaves are beginning to show some color, however, I'm not expecting much as this has been a very warm, dry season.  All of the perennials in my garden have not been as beautiful as they usually are, but then, each year is different and heaven knows 2020 has been a doozy, so far!

We are hoping to get things under roof before the snow flies so we can spend the winter finishing everything and get ready for next summer's tourist season!

Things are looking up in LaLaLand!

April 20,2020

And so, our project finally begins!  We had hoped to start the process back in September, 2019, however, due to circumstances beyond our control, t'was not to be.  Of course, during the winter, the Corona Virus struck the USA and we weren't sure if or when the project might get started.  Gratefully, the septic fellas were still working, the weather was cooperating and things finally got underway!

In the meantime, we are practicing social distancing until April 30th, at which time our illustrious Governor will decide if we can begin to get back to some semblance of normalcy or she may choose to continue until further notice.  We can only hope she will see how this isolation is harming our economy!  (rant over).
