.... Wow, the first few days of March were really wild! We had three snow storms within a week with the last one giving us almost a foot of snow on top of the other storms. That and the bitter cold made for a week to stay indoors! However, the forecast for the next week is looking pretty good with temps coming up and hopefully, bringing warm sunshine to melt some of the leftover snow.
This picture overlooking Calf Island shows the "Sea Smoke" in the bay, due to the bitter cold. Brrr!
As one is traveling to Maine for a vacation, (hopefully, staying with us 😄), you'll be going through the town of Ellsworth. You might want to stop and shop and, while you're in Hannaford grocery, if you have an electric vehicle and need to "plug in" you will find the station right behind the store.
Downtown, you'll find quaint stores, galleries, restaurants and breweries and a variety of other delightful shops.
Housed in a former furniture store, The Dream Catcher is a three-story antique store that sells everything from art, jewelry, and pottery to vinyl records, comics, and toys. With 15,000 square feet of space, you could spend hours in this shop and never get bored!
We'll keep the lights on for ya!
Cheers,
Bob and Sandy
