The New Year is upon us!

2022 is now in our rear view mirror and we're looking forward to a good year ahead!

Our first few weeks of January were full of warmer weather than usual and we took advantage of all Mother Nature had to offer.  However, as we all know, she has her moments and now, blowing snow and ice is upon us, however, our winter sunsets are beautiful!

So, it's a good time to get a few necessary things done around the house.  My goal is to "declutter" as much as I can before nice weather returns and I get to go back out in the gardens.  The Cottage still has a lot of places where I can add a few more flowers and trees and I'm so looking forward to getting my hands in the dirt again!

I'm also finding lots of good places for one to visit here in Maine and here's a good place to start:

In the meantime, the snow and quiet, peaceful times give us pause to look back on last year with gratitude.

Here's looking forward to a great 2023!

Cheers,

Bob and Sandy

Happy New Year to Everyone!

The holiday season is over and we're back to our usual daily chores and duties.  We had a brief cold snap but now we are having some nice, sunny and relatively warm days with no snow on the ground, which makes it very easy to do a bit of yardwork.

My bestie, Ms Tara and I got an early start and had our first 5K walk of the new year in one of the many Schoodic area walking paths close to the Cottage!

It seems like 2022 passed very quickly and the 2023 tourist season will be upon us before we know it.  We already have 7 weeks booked for this year and I suspect, now that the holidays are over, folks will be thinking about where they would like to visit for this year's vacation.

Maine is a wonderful State to spend one's vacation and if you're traveling by car, there is so much to see along the way!

Route 1 Runs Through All Of Maine And It’s A Beautiful Drive

There are a lot of scenic roads throughout the Pine Tree State. From rocky coastlines to mountain views and classic country roads, you will find plenty of places for a pleasant Sunday drive. There is one road that travels all the way through the state offering some of the best views and attractions along the way. Route 1 in Maine is like the East Coast’s answer to Route 66.
