It was a bitterly cold and sometimes windy week, but luckily the fellas managed to get all of the roofing work done. Wiring in the bedrooms has been installed with more to come next week so they've been able to start insulating. At least the guys can work inside and have a little heat now! Of course, the forecast for next week has temperatures in the 40's! Hopefully, it will melt the icy patches all of us have in our driveways.
I finally was able to get up to see the loft area and was I ever surprised at how huge it is!!! This picture does NOT begin to do it justice! It will be a wonderful area for all kinds of activities or just plain enjoying some quiet time.
There's still so much to do but the pace is now picking up. Next week should begin work on the plumbing, furnace installation, kitchen planning, yada, yada.
In the meantime, I'm perusing all the garden magazines for lots of good landscaping ideas. My friends have given me gift cards for a couple of garden centers so I'll be able to put some color into the big planting pots I found at Marden's for a great price. I have the best friends!! 💕
