Our seasonal cottage is situated in a lovely, wooded area near the quiet Schoodic section of Acadia National Park, in the beautiful State of Maine.

Everything is taking its own, sweet time!

Well, things are moving along, slowly, but moving.  Of course, Maine weather in March and April can be pretty dicey, and it has been, with lots of windy, cold and rainy days.  We've had a few days with glorious sunshine so Bob and Jeff could continue to get things going on the deck and it's looking really nice.

Unfortunately, we are still waiting on the landscapers to come get the surrounding property in shape for planting and landscaping.  Of course, I can't plant any colorful annuals before the first of June as there is always a danger of frost before then around here.  Right now, our crocus and daffodils are poking their little heads up, so hopefully, the other perennials will take note and start popping up, as well.

In the meantime, I've been shopping for things that we need before our first guests arrive in May.  I'm always thinking of little things that will make their stay in Maine a fun and memorable one.

Since retiring from my five year stint with Acadia Provisions, I've been busier than ever with my intention of "decluttering" my house and so far, Goodwill has been getting lots of donations! Between that and getting my yard cleaned up for the coming summer, I haven't had any boring moments.

On the positive side, Spectrum should be putting the Cottage WiFi in today!

At least my Amaryllis are blooming right now!

Stay tuned for more pictures when the plants and flowers are in!
