Moving Right Along!

 Been a long, busy week for everyone and much was accomplished, but still so much to do.  The final windows arrived and were installed, giving the Great Room lots of light streaming in.

The plumbing has been installed and inspected, the furnace is up and running and most of the wiring done. Now, on to more insulation and drywall mudding!

Work has begun on the bathrooms, as well as the laundry space

Sunny days allowed for the board and batten siding to be finished.

This will be the view from the slider onto the deck.  There will be lots of grassy area for the deer to feast on! 

All in all a very productive week.  Stay tuned for more fun!  😄

Sunshine Makes Me Happy!

Gratefully, the nice, sunny weather is warming things up and slowly melting all the ice.  However, our driveways and the soil surrounding the project have turned into slushy, mushy mud!  YUCK!!  Ah well, spring is right around the corner and this too shall pass.

In the meantime, the beautiful bluish gray siding is going on the outside of the cottage and it's looking good.

The special order windows for the upper area of the great room should be arriving soon and then shingling can begin up there.

A future 16 foot covered and screened deck will be built in the back so our guests can enjoy the wonderful Maine air without having to deal with mosquitoes, flies or other annoying insects!

Unfortunately, I was unable to take any indoor photographs as there was just too much going on inside.  The furnace is now officially installed, the wiring is still in progress as is the plumbing.  Things are definitely looking up!
