May is on it's way!

May is shaping up nicely!  The perennials are beginning to pop up, the grass is getting green, the trees are beginning to leaf out and the deer are munching on everything!

We have been busy getting our Acadia Woodland Cottage and the surrounding grounds ready for our guests.  This year, we will have a fire pit ready.  We managed to get a good deal on some Amish made chairs and side tables for pleasant outdoor seating and, in the meantime, I've been working on a wildflower garden among other things.  It will take time to get established and planted with perennials and annuals, but I'm hoping it will be a nice view from the screened in deck.

The fire pit will be situated in the side of the cottage where I made another planting area last year and am going to enlarge that a bit, as well.

Ah, well, Mother Nature is happy to get a smile from all of us and while I was doing a wee bit of research for the upcoming season, it occurred to me that many of you may not be familiar with the Schoodic side of Acadia National Park.  So, I found this website showing the beauty of the Schoodic Peninsula and lots of information to help you plan your stay in our beautiful State of Maine.

We still have a few weeks available in May and June and the autumn color is beautiful here through September and October, check out the information below on the website about Schoodic and check us out on VRBO # 1713662 where we have lots of cottage photos!

We'll keep the lights on for ya!

Cheers,

Bob and Sandy
